Poster Abstract Submission Guidelines
You are invited to submit an abstract for OSEM Conference, to be held on 4-6th February 2026, at the Grand Millennium Hotel, Muscat Oman.

POSTER ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 5 January 2026 – 11:59 PM.
NOTIFICATION ON ACCEPTANCE/REJECTION: 16 January 2026 – 11:59 PM.
Please note that only electronic submissions are accepted.
Winning abstracts that meet the journal’s publishing criteria will be published in the Sultan Qaboos University Medical Journal (SQUMJ)

Language
All abstracts must be submitted in English using the online submission form on the Oman Society of Emergency Medicine website.
General Conditions
- Topics may be related to the conference tracks or any emergency-related subject.
- The submission deadline is 5 January 2026, 23:59 GST.
- Abstracts submitted will be accepted only as Poster Abstracts.
- Presenting authors must be registered participants. Only abstracts of authors who have paid their registration fees by the Early Registration Deadline (15 December 2025) will be scheduled for presentation.
- All abstracts will be accepted only as Poster Abstracts.
- If selected, presenters are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses.
- Co-authors must also register for the conference if they wish to receive the abstract poster certificate.
- Abstracts should include the following sections: Background and Aims, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
- Use only generic names of drugs. Presentations must be balanced and free from commercial or promotional content.
- Submissions must not include patient names, hospital ID numbers, or any other identifying information.
- Please ensure that the email addresses of both the submitter and presenting author are accurate, as they will be used for all communication following the review process.
Disclosure: Abstract submitter and presenter are required to disclose any conflict of interest.
Ensure that all co-authors approve the abstract submission, publication, and potential presentation.
